Neutral Safety Switch Repair issue
So i was working on removing the nss on my cherokee. I followed another threads directions, and im attempting to get this unit off te transmission. the problem is that i cannot use the nut to pry it off because it is stuck to the one tooth coming out of the tranny. Any way i can take this thing off another way? Thanks for the help everyone

I used one of those little bitty $5 pencil torches from Harbor Frieght to put a mild amount of heat on the housing area held by the nut onto the shaft, took a bent screwdriver and gentry pried from the back. PB and heat help, but I still wound up cracking the bakelite plate on teh back that holds the electrical plates, and so still had to replace. I was going to try to clean it out, but mine didn't look all that gummy when I did take it apart. Be gently with it, good luck.
