Neutral safety switch code won't clear.

Went to get the girl inspected and she threw a code; P0705: transmission range sensor circuit. So took down NSS, cleaned and put new dielectric grease. Never had any starting/shifting probs but check engine light is still on. just swapped 95 YJ motor into 98 XJ but same trans, etc. Anything I may have missed oh Gods of in-line 6?

Just sayin'...
Did u reset the 'puter? Disco the batt terminals and short them together for a few seconds.

Jut left batt disconnected for 15/20. code went off but came back on again.

Did you line up the 2 marks before you tightened it down?

Ok, you got me. Two marks? I left everything in original position as far as I know. Are you talking inside?

There is a mark or notch on the switch you are supposed to line up with a mark or notch on the tranny. I don't remember my code, but I had to realign my NSS a year ago and no code since.
