Need your help guys...
So, I think my afternoon project of finishing the paint of my trim is being replaced by another project. Just yesterday, I noticed a rattling coming from the underside of my 91 XJ. At first I thought it was a hole in the muffler, but after seeing no holes and hearing the rattle close to the engine, I am fearing loose flex plate bolts (and please dont remind me that it could be cracks too.. I am praying hard enough that cracks arent the case lol). But I have also heard that a loose exhaust pipe could be smacking against the oil pan, and considering that I dont hear a clunk during sudden acceleration, I am considering this a possibility too. So, Im gonna climb under the ol girl after college and see if I can wiggle the exhaust pipe enough that it touches the oil pan. If not, then I guess inspection cover comes off the tranny.
Any opinions guys? And if it does turn out to be FP bolts, anyone have a good description on the steps I have to take?
Thanks in advance
