I have a 2001 jeep cherokee sport model with the 4.0 in her. The wipers in the front are giving me a hard time. Lately , when u turn them on to clear windshield sometimes they work for a minute and sometimes not. But, when they do work they are real slow and r barely moving. They do this and shut down in the middle. Think switch or motor??? The squirts work fine ...

 

sounds like you need a new wiper motor

 

I had to put a new motor in my 98. They would only work fine on high. On the other settings they were hit or miss. I say motor.

 

pull the wires from the motor test to make sure they got good power and ground... if so then bad motor... if not then have fun shootin wires... doubt its the switch...
