Need Track Bar Info
Hello everyone,
I've finally purchased my first Jeep. It is a 97 Cherokee that I'm very happy with for what I paid for it. Anyway, I need some help. If there is another post with info that would explain please point it out to me. I've found out that I will most likely have to replace the track bar on the jeep. While driving home I got the death wobble. Didn't see that coming
. Yes, I had that oh **** moment. I want to tell you that my intentions as of now are to mainly use the Jeep in the winter time to get around. Gotta love Iowa winters! I don't have any off-roading plans with this vehicle......yet. Maybe down the road. I just would like opinions of a good type of track bar to install. If there is also any other things to recommend changing now it would be appreciated as well. Thank you in advance.

If you are getting the dreaded "death wobble" , it could the trac-bar nut is just loose were it attaches to the frame mount . It could also just be you need an alignment . If you insist on getting a new trac-bar and you're not wheeling it , then definately go one from Rouogh Country . They are somewhere around $100 and use the factory mount .
Thank you everybody for the information. I'll definately check the bolts and I think that I'm just going to replace that track bar for now anyway. Now I just need to decide what size of tires to put on it?

go thru and torque everything down and see if that does not help.
while torquing everything give it a real good jolt and hustle and see if there is any play in anything.
hope it solves it man!
