Hello all! This is my first post here so bare with me. I recently purchased a 99 Cherokee Sport for pretty cheap and knew going in I would have to fix things as I go. So far I have been able to diagnose and fix the issue that have popped up.. until now. I drove a pretty short distance on a fairly hot day and after parking I noticed there was a puddle under the engine bay... uhoh. I popped the hood and coolant has sprayed everywhere. I wiped everything down and turned it back on to see if anything immediately looked wrong and after about 5 minutes I did not notice anything leaking. I drove it a short distance again and nothing. After driving it to work and back home again the next day I checked the engine bay and notice there was a small amount of sprayage (no puddles though) throughout the bay and I still could not tell exactly where it was coming from. Where should I start in diagnosing this issue?

 

My recommendation is top off the coolant, let it idle in gear for a while if it's an automatic, and see what sprays out of where with the hood up once it gets up to temperature. That'll get you moving in the right direction.
