Ive have a 98 cherokee xj classic with a leaking radiator. The leak is at the top right hose where it screws into the radiator. What can i use like a glue or something. A sealent that will withstand the heat of the engine. Ive used radiator stop leak before in radiators and had horrible results.

WHen you say top right corner, which side are you refering too drivers or passenger side? Also is it a rubber coolant hose or is it a hard line that goes into the radiator?

Rubber is coolant hoses - upper and lower
Hard Lines- are you trans fluid to radiator lines (2) Cant remember if they were both on the same side.

Let us know which it is..

Ok i think i know which is.. the upper radiator hose that goes to water neck?
If so is the leak coming from the plastic neck on the radiator or leaking from the hose?

Im not sure what screws in over there?

It could be just the hose that is leaking or the clamp isn't tight enough is it a spring clamp?

It is the drivers side when your out side facing the jeep, also its a rubber hose that connects to a metal peice that screws into the radiator. I know its a radiator problem bc she is leaking green. When i turn her off, where the hose screws in you can see it leaking there.

Sounds like a coolant leak at the tranny fluid cooler.

If this is the case would there be any signs of coolant in the trans fluid??

Only if the tranny cooler or tranny cooler hose/tube (there at the rad tank) has a hole in it.

Sorry to butt in, having an issue myself. Seems like every few weeks, I open the hood for some reason and there is coolant in the battery tray, splashed over the passenger side front of engine. So i turn it back on let it sit for awhile and of course nothing. Check it for a few days, and nothing. then a month later same thing. Could this be me refilling the coolant overflow when it looks low? This last time was when I drained and refilled radiator but it was a few days later. No overheating, etc.
