need some dummie help
ok, so i dont know much about my jeep (tranny and t-case model). Its a 94' with 4.0 HO and automatic. Could i use my vin # to possibly look it up or are they factory equipped the same with that drivetrain???

You called for dummies and here I am. The fact that it is an automatic and a 94 make it a AW4 tranny. Look at your transfercase selector. Does it say fulltime 4WD as a choice? If yes then you have a 242 if no you have a 231. HTH
