Hello all,

I plan to do my harmonic balancer soon as well as the "front main seal". I put that in quotes cause it's clearly called something else as I can't find a front main seal anywhere. I've seen it referred to as the timing cover seal, crank seal, as well as a few other names.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what seal I have to actually buy? A link would be amazing. If you'd like pictures, I posted a while back here: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/whe...coming-190656/

How do you guys feel about the Dorman harmonic balancer? Seems to be what most places are carrying.

The older dormans were machined a fraction too small and they wont fit properly onto the crank.....Do yourself a favor and buy the OEM one or different brand.

 

thanks. i'll look around to see if i can find a non dorman one. i think team cherokee was selling a different brand.
