Default Need quick help with fuel rail!

Doing my manifold as we speak. Searched the write-ups, and cant find the solution anywhere.

Trying to get my fuel rail disconnected, however I can't figure out how to get the supply line disconnected. I don't believe its the quick disconnect. It got some metal clip tying both ends together. Also the fuel rail is mounted to the bottom of the intake manifold. How can I move this rail out of the way without crimping the line?

98 XJ

Any help?

I got the clip off... Now I'm really stuck.

How do I pull the line out?

Mine requires a disconnect tool. Which I walked down to autozone and bought.

However, it still doesn't want to let go.

Hope yopu got one of those red 5/16" tools, not one of those combination tools. Just push in on the tool (towards the supply tube) and the internal lock should release. May take some fiddling with.

Here's a pic of my Ghetto Gadget that I made to check leakdown. The red disconnect tool in the pic is the 'red' tool I mentioned.
