need opinion on transfer drop case
ok so the vibration from my drive shaft is scaring me considering its still a daily driver. so i like to bypass everything and do stuff on my own. what should i do? get custom spacers or washers for the drop kit? lol. or spend mad money or a slip yoke?. and how do you go about the spacers for transfer drop kit.

I have a slip yoke on a 8.5 inch lift and it still vibrates like crazy. Some one told me to try pinion shims first. I am would like to know as well. I like my clearance but the vibration get a little scary at times.

I had vibes after my three inch lift (springpacks had shims to adjust pinion angle) I went with Rustys drop cross member, 1" drop with no loss of clearance and it cleared my vibes right up.

My 6.5 RC lift has the 1" trans drop spacers and I dont have any DS vibs. Try to Trans drop it wont hurt. The slip yoke is the best way to go but if u dont have the extra money like me the drop might work for you. I am all for it.

You will notice that it is sticking to the side of my tool box. Very handy little things. Now for lifts below 6" this is the drive line geometry you use.

You use the angle finder to add shims or tcase drops or whatever to get the same angle relative to level on your tcase and pinion. Then if you have enough yoke in the output of the tcase, your vibes will go away.
For lifts over 6" you need to go with a slip yoke eliminator (SYE) It can cost from $100 to $500 for the kit and driveline. When you do you use geometry like this:

You use the angle finder to find out how much shim you need to line up the pinion with the driveline.

Alright, let me rephrase that. Over 6" with no tcase drop you need one because the stock yoke will not accommodate the drive line angle.
