Default need a new key set

I have an 89 xj and i just put a long arm kit on it and i cant find the keys. they have been missing for almost 4 weeks, well to put a long story short my dads friend mentions that my dads tweaker b**ch ex was over here while i was out of town a few weeks ago and prolly stole them. she stole my first set too by the way so its plausible that she stole my keys along with my subs and amp that grew legs that same weekend and ran away

anyways i want to see if you guys think it would be worth it to just have it re keyed and put a master cut off switch to the battery or go to the jy and pull out some door locks and an ignition. i need them before this weekend cuz were supposed to be going somewhere and i want to drive my jeep.
what do you think i should do?

I think i you should kick your dads ex in the face, and his friend for good measure. I would replace all the locks if i thought some crazy ***** had keys to my jeep... but for the time being you can always just disconnect or remove something easy in the engine bay to disable it in case someone decides to come back and swap it for crack while you are sleeping.

You could call a locksmith if you have a couple of bucks handy
You could pull a couple at the Jy and pray
You could buy a new ignition/locks that will come with keys

...I'd hit the pick and pull

Plus lock your house up when not there or change the door lock.

If you can get in but cant start, take the plastic cover off where the key ignition is, the whole cover, and just push the rod in the cover forward to start it.

Hi.
Suggestions:
Change all the locks, put in a quality alarm system, and (carefully) consider booby trapping your components with razor blades or rusty barbed wire (do at your own risk, it's probably illegal, but what's a crook gonna say to the cops?-"I was trying to steal this guy's stereo and he had the nerve to booby trap his own property?".) LOL. I knew a guy (not me) who got three stereos stolen. Finally, he glued razor blades all around the edges of the stereo inside the dash. One morning, he got into his car and there was blood all over the floor. He never had another problem.

I second the locksmith.
Lots less work than changing locks.

Just don't get pulled over and conveniently forget registration, insurance and license.... haha. Glad that you have a temporary solution.

no alarm for the jeep, its not that kind of car i got the thing for free and is just for wheeling. the yard is protected by our pit bull and by colt the jeeps are parked in front of my dads open window at night.

Change the locks. If a locksmith rekeys for you and the tweaker has them then they still have your keys.

Get new keys. Hide a battery or ignition cutoff or your Jeep is going to end up in the scrapyard and the money is going to keep a meth dealer in buisness.

Get all new locks/keys. If anyone you dont trust has a key then get new ones.
