Hey guys im new to this whole jeep thing and am needing some help on my 99 xj. It already has a 3 in skyjacker lift was on there when i bought it.I'm wanting to make my own long arm kit and as far as i know the only things i will need to buy is 6.5 coil springs and new shocks dont know wat length of shock yet im wanting to wait and see how much travel i will have..im really wanting to know which would be the best way to lift the rear for fairly cheap and parts i may need in the front end. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

 

You can get a set of leaf springs with 4.5" lift and get 2" lift shackles. Or if you're going to fab up some of you're own long arms, why don't you fab up a rear spring conversion?

 

Well i'm limited on buget right now but that would be a big plus in the future...how are shackles good ride cheap fix...wats your opinion

 

I would go with 2" rough country shackels but you'll need 4.5" leafs
