That looks like the spendy one Highmilage or someone had real fun with. Maybe it was Hank? (posting your year is always nice).

Here, I take about any bearing into More-Johns/Napa and they just measure it or read # and grab me one. Schwinn or Schindowia, no matter!

Time for Bambi Bumper stew. Yum!

Or maybe it wad DJB! (and it fits a 98)

Blame it on Bamby! Stupid thing had the brains of a plant. Maybe a bush.

You might find one on E-Bay for $40. Posting your year is always good for figuring out which part it is.

Dealerships do have them but they're pricey, +$300 iirc.

Jy is your best bet and cheaper then anything you'll find. I had the same problem and pressed the bearing out and see if I could possible find a replacment bearing. Well its a cative bearing and the race is built into the shaft. I found that out when the cap broke and blew apart.

No wonder they are $300. I did find one used on Ebay for $40 (or so), when DJB was figuring his out.

Its possible to get it to work with welding the groves full then grinding smooth or even taking it on a lathe. Then finding a couple of sealed bearings and finding a inner dia tha matches tight, were would still need to be pressed in, the a outer the same way.
