There are 2 tabs at the edge of where the headliner tucks in along the speaker bar, the pic says to disengage these.

If the pictures he sent didnt help, slide along the inside with a plastic cake knife or something similar to find the clips. I just pulled the whole thing out, its fiberglass its pretty flexible. Than again mines a 94 and a put new resin on it so i didn't care what i tore apart getting it out.

once you remove all the trim from all the pillars, sunvisors, grab handles, and lights it should just fall out leaving the speaker bar still on the jeep, you might have to unbolt the speakers though

when i was replacing my old crappy headliner with a "new one" from the JY i had to push the old headliner forward than pull down for it to move... it was held on by a clip/brace that held up my top console. GL!

redid mine in gray, its in the attic with bookes and stereo speakers and weights laying on it... harderst part was shaping the area around teh rear speakers... that was a pain..

it is up to you really, do you have the time and the know how to do it? if so just do it yourself, otherwise yeah it might be better to hand it off to a profesional to do

its really not that hard. getting it out and in was the hardest part for me. helps to have a friend to hold it up
and when laying the fabric out

once its out put the headliner on a flat surface.
rip off the old fabric and scrape off any remaining foam.
I used a thick bristle brush.
vacuum it off
then get some head liner material from somewhere( i got it at Joann's fabric) and some good headliner adhesive spray (auto zone had some). do not cheap out on the headliner adhesive or you will be doing it all over again.

the fabric should over hang a little bit
you can cut it when your done

i find it easy to do one half at a time

lay the fabric on the backer board and fold back one half of it
spray both the backer board and headliner fabric. wait till its tacky i think it tacks in 20 Min

fold it back over
using a roller apply presser from the center toward the outer edges.

then fold the other side back and do the same thing

let it dry for 24 hours before putting it back in the jeep

it cost me $50 to do my headliner overhead consle and speaker bar
shop wanted $300 for just the headliner

it looks like new, and has held up great for the last two years
