If you're not going to upgrade your tires for a while, I'd leave the wheels for as long as you can stand it so you'll have some money left over should anything unexpected arise. When you've had the lift on for a month or so and all is well, then spring for the new wheels. Just a thought. I poured a lot of money into my lift, wheels, and tires all in one shot, but then I didn't have enough money for a new bumper or rock rails (both of which I desperately need) and still don't.

Yeah I guess I'll hold off on the wheel and just do the lift for now..Maybe I can find some better looking ones at the junk yard for less then $50 ...I am checking with the guy I can get the RE stuff from on what the cost difference would be on the superflex kit..He was making me a sweet deal on the super ride kit that may not be able to be done on the other..Super ride kit at $420 is going to be tough to pass on..
As for bumpers and rails well one my buddies brother who works for a company who makes errm rear ends and such now has a plasma cutter and some other nifty new fab tools..so we're going to make our own bumpers, rails and skids and save some cash..Plus I have another buddy who sells steel for a living so I can get good prices on steel...

Sounds like you are going to save enough on bumpers and rails to buy those new wheels. Just have to decide on the lift. I personally would not select the SR kit as it is more of a poser kit than the SF kit is. JMHO!

We'll see..as long as the SF kit isn't like $200 or so more then I could swing it..I am hoping maybe a $100 difference and if so then I will go SF...

I am hoping today...I think I have made my mind up it's gonna be the RE kit no matter what..After hearing what everyone here has said and really comparing the kits I think for the money the RE is a better buy and considering how many folks on here and another forum run RE kits makes me feel it'll end up being a better buy..Plus I think the RE 3.5 will look better on 30"s then an RC 4.5" kit would..

Hope it all works out! If you can't get a good deal on the SF kit, just go with the SR for now. I will tell you that you'll be spending the extra dough on sway bar quick disconnects after a few trips out, I guarantee it.

Yeah we'll see what kind of a deal he will make..I know he has a bunch of extra SR kits so that's the primary reason for such a great deal on it..Who knows he may do me a sweet deal on an SF kit if not the kit itself is right at $760 so that's a $340 diff and I just can't swing that...without shocks and track bar...
Yeah I'd go with the SF but issue is I also have to get rims...so ...I have to stay on budget as well since the wife will throw a fit if I don't..THe jeep is already about $1500 over original budget after the new motor and all the new sensors and what not that went along with that..

Jeeps just don't understand budgets. When you try to explain it to them they just break something essential. So don't start talkin' budget around your Jeep or it will make you break your budget and leave you walkin' to boot.

I have been eyeing the RE 3.5" SR kit as well. The super ride should be fine as this is my DD and there are no plans for it to be. Just looking for a slight lift and larger tires to deal with the muddy/flooded roads by my house. Let us know how you like the lift and how easy it goes on for you and such....

Prerunner the SF kit has disconnects and the SR doesn't that is the major difference. Someone on PBB says that they have different spring rates but that needs to be checked considering the source.

Well after pricing the additional cost of the SuperFlex kit I think the Super Ride kit will do just fine..I realize the flex LCA's are likely beter for rock crawling and the discos are nice but I can make something to work with the SR's extended end links.. Bottom line SR is much more in my budget for now..and I don't plan on any extreme offroad till I get a new DD and can go long arm..
So RE SR 3.5 with adjustable track bar and twin tube shocks shipped for $790 total will work just fine for me..
Install shouldn't be to touch..I have had all my bolts out for the leaf spring once already and the upper rear shock bolts were replaced with new ones and this go round the 6 bolts for the leaf springs and shackles will get replaced as well as the LCA bolts...So should be a simple process well relatively simple I should say...I'l take pics and what not as I go along..
Also any info I think might help beyond the basic instruction and so forth..
Going to drop him a line tomorrow and place my order...
Although will have him shipp it out on monday so it doesn't get here till next friday..No one is home till 7pm mon-thurs....Don't need almost $1000 worth of hardware sittin on the front porch if ya know what I mean....
