Default Need Help... XJ Cutting off

I have a 1996 XJ w/ 4.0. Cranks and drives good... except after driving for 45 or so miles straight it cuts off. First starts sputtering then just cuts off. I can cycle the key a couple times and (hear the fuel pump each time) and it starts right up. then about a mile later it does it all over again even if I stop at a light. If I park it for 45 min or more then it drives fine again.

Never does this local driving short distances.... and it doesn't do it trail riding....

I have changed fuel filter, strainer on pump, injectors, map sensor, ....

Can anyone shine light on this problem?

No lights on dash. But I have not had it hooked up to code reader. Is this something I should do? I thought the C.E. Light had to be on....
