Need help withe starting issue
I have a 92 Cherokee 4.0. It was running fine one day. It sat for a day and then I changed the oil. Went to crank it and nothing. Thought the battery was dead. Tried to jump it and nothing. Took the cables off the battery and connected the jumper cables directly to them and it started. Got a new battery today connected heard the fuel pump then nothing. No click no nothing. Now the fuel pump won't even come on. It's like the battery is dead. I tested the battery and it's all good.
I have checked all the fuses and electrical connections and everything is good there.
I am baffled and I know it's something stupid that I am over looking.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not an expert on anything, but I've had this happen.
I've got a 97, and when you took the oil filter out, did you disconnect the clip that's above it? (the one that gets in the way of taking it out? I think it runs to the distributor cap, but I could be wrong.) If so, put it back together and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps.....same thing happened on my old Wrangler, and it was just that the ground to the battery had came loose.
If none of this helps, give it a night off and look at it fresh in the morning : ) It's gotta be something simple.
