Default Need help w/ crank issue?

Hello everyone, I'm Cat, from El Paso and I guess this would be my first post but, not my first time looking up things.. Maybe it's just a brain fart but, I have a cranking issue I think....I own a XJ 87' Pioneer w/ the I6. It have a fairly new optima battery (4months) and never changed the starter or alternator(just so you know). When I first start it up in the morning, it cranks and starts up fine but, when I run it a lil' during the day and make a few stops, by the middle of the day after I stop and try to start it, it sounds like my battery is low but more like my alternator is not cranking enough? Question?: Alternator keeps battery charged, and starter cranks? Is it that my starter might be going out. I tested the battery and it is still charged and my dash also indicates battery level is good. Can somebody help me, thanks!

Take the starter to Autozone and have it checked...sounds like mabye a heat soak issue with the starter as you said it only does it after driving around. Just My Opinion
