need help troubleshooting no start
Just drove my car home for lunch came back out tried to start it and it cranked like a dead battery but I have power
The easiest answers I can think of would be
1. Bad starter?
Or 2. Belt too tight/loose?
Are either of these possibly the culprit. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank

It started off cranking slow (like a normal dying/dead battery would) then it completely stopped trying to crank but I still have good power for lights and radio. Tried putting it in neutral to see if it was the nss and no luck. I'm stumped
Could be weak battery and possibly badly corroded battery cables.
I was cranking slow also and replaced the battery and replaced the battery cables with beefier ones from the auto parts store.
Do the interior lights go dim while vehicle is cranking slow?
Sounds like a weak battery by your description of cranking slow then not at all but still have lights and power-yes, but you have no cranking amperage-get a new battery and upgrade your cables when you get time because the cables are usually toast near the connections at the battery posts and they wick corrosion through the cable (powdery green/white).

Hmmmm.....have you put it back and forth from neutral to park a bunch of times to try to clean the NSS connections then try another neutral start.
I have fired vehicle off by doing this a bunch of times.
Have you checked your battery cables, connections at starter?
Check all your fuses too.

If you don't loose power when attempting to crank, and you check connections/wires, you could try to jump it if possible and that would rule out the battery pretty easily, you could also give the starter a few little love taps while turning the key to see if that makes a diff.
For a while mine would take forever to start and one day it just died. tried jumping it and no diff. then tapped the starter and it acted like it wanted to start and made some noises, so i replaced it and now it is quick and strong...
