need help with a trouble code p1494

Default need help with a trouble code p1494

the code is p1494 all i know is that it say
leak detection pump switch or mechanical fault
it doesnt feel like its running any different except that sometimes it idles a tad bit low but not really low i just dont know what the code is for or what is wrong

I believe that's in your EVAP system. Hopefully just a bad vacuum line. Check all the vac lines from your throttle body to the component they go to. One of them should lead to the leak detection pump. (maybe somewhere below your brake fluid container?) If that line is ok, check over any and all lines in the evap system.. Charcoal canister, lines running to the fuel tank etc. If they're all good, maybe the pump switch or the pump itself should be looked at. Hope this helps.
