Default Need Help with Tire selection

I drive 20 miles round trip every day. 10 miles of that is dirt roads. I want a good tire that wont wear to quickly but is easy on the wallet. Any suggestions? Since I do 50% off road every day I think a M/T tire would work nicely. I have saw where some A/T tires can get 60k miles though. What you guys think? I do want an aggresive look.

The 2 I was thinking about was:

Firestone Destination A/T
Dunlup Mud Rover M/T

What you guys think? Any places cheaper than tire rack.com?

I went with the Goodyear Wrangler Authority. It's an aggressive all terrain and I've heard great things about it. Best of all it was only $130 per tire for a 31".

Where did you get the tire? I can only find silent armor.

They are a walmart exclusive. $130 per tire and $5 to balance. It was something like $580 out the door with lifetime balance.

It also shows that he has a stock lift will 31's fit on stock specs? I always thought the highest were 30's for stock specs with minimal rubbing? Could be wrong though.

I run the Maxxis Big Horns. Love them, they wear good, not loud, work good in mud, sand, on wet roads, ok on rocks and the price is not bad. I got mine for $135 ea

Dont run walmarts tires. Get BF Goodrich All Terrain TA/KO tires. AMAZING ALL AROUND TIRE FOR ON AND OFF ROAD. My dad ran the walmart tires your wanting and within a week 2 brand new tires blew out on him. He lost control since both blew out on same side of his jeep and it rolled over and he even had the tire warranty deal on them. Goodrich tires I have on my jeep have gotten me through nearly everything. Holds tight to the pavement and good on wet ground and gravel and even better on trails.

consumer reports rated General AT2 the best all terrain tires with the lowest ranking being a satisfactory for dry stopping. i believe they also still come with a 60k warranty i run them on my DD.

This sounds like something else was going on.. What are the chances of two tires blowing at the exact same time without "other" circumstances causing it.

Did I say at the same time... No I didnt. One blew out then when he tried to stop the other one blew. Get your facts straight next time. It was weird it was on the same side but didnt happen at the same time though.

Get my facts straight? Read the way you phrased it, sure sounded like it was at the same time to me. "He lost control since both blew out"

Anyway hope he's ok.
