Weird, my 89 wagoneer has a plug sticking out there and its wires ran to what looked like a large modem or transmitter under the bench seat in the back and from that a Ethernet cable ran to the passenger seat next to a mount thingy, possibly for a laptop? maybe my jeep was owned by James bond at one time......

My 99 sport
does not have it , but my 96 country had it and i used to tell my friends that it was a camera and i was recording and the system was in the glove compartment ..... Lol i kept it locked so they couldnt see inside...... I miss my 96
