Im taking the rear bumper off to instal nut strips. Well I got 3 of the 4 bolts off on the passenger side just fine but the rest look like this and are so corroded that the socket won't even catch.. Any suggestions? Really have to get this done today or tomorrow. Thanks

Can't fit it in the front.. But if I grinded off the welded nuts in the back, then should I just be able to take it right off and put new nuts and bolts through?

6 pt socket? or a socket for rounded off bolts/nuts/ or the next smaller size 12 pt whether it be metric or standard and drive or pry bar it on there.

In any case before I went to far, I would get a hammer and a punch/chisel and give it a few good licks to help it free up.

It's not that the bolts are stuck- I've been pb blasting for days. It's that the socket just spins on it.
But I'm stuck guys.. Tried getting the shackles off (which I have to do anyway) and that top bolt was pretty dang tight. Again, I have been pb blasting for a while and even heated it up, but I really didn't want to break the head off or round the head off. Pain. In. The. ***. I guess ill just spray more pb blaster and take a brake. Damn.

Better to take a break than to do something drastic like haul it off to the scrap yard which is what I was damn close to doing when I did all my work dealing with rusty bolts on my XJ lol

I used vice grips. I was there for awhile doing it but it worked or if you have a welder clean the head the best you can and plug weld a new nut to the old and now you have something that is not stripped or rusted.

Well as much as I hate to say this, I will be taking the heep to a local 4x4 shop to see what they say. Neither my dad nor I could get the shackles and there for the rest of the bumper bolts off. Hope they're up for it haha.
