The hood latch broke on the passenger side of my Jeep Cherokee Sport. I could pull on the cable and get the other side unlatched. Posted a question here for help and got instructions on fixing this by removing two bolts behind the headlight. Great - got the hood open. But, I can't get the headlight back in. Specifically, the black piece shown in the pic has a slot in the top and on one side that slide onto bolts. I can't figure out how to make this stay in place. It slides off the bolts. There is nothing on the right side of bottom to hold it in place. What am I missing? How to I reinstall this. There was a metal spring near the bottom right corner, but I don't see how that attaches to anything.

 

Looks like you are missing the adjuster nut things that hold that piece in place, I can't recall exactly. Sorry if I was no help lol
