Need Help Finding Head Bolts

Default Need Help Finding Head Bolts

Well getting to be about that time for me to start putting my engine back together. I cannot for the life of me fin new head bolts for a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 L. Any body know where I can pick these up. I have checked all of my local chain stores

You can reuse your OEM bolts 1 time. Yes it's true.

I got a set from O'reilly's....they had to order them, but they got them within a few hours.....but beware.....they were not hex head bolts but were 12 point instead....had to buy a deep 13mm socket from Sears and drill the center out a bit....I think the bolts cost me $30 or so.....

check on pepboys.com for my 2001xj this is the part number for the studs
FEL PRO ES71102
i have the 0331 head.
and yes they are 12pt.
mine were 1/2" 12pt.

I have already re-used the bolts once...I am doing a complete overhaul of my engine and I am not takin any chances. I have looked everywhere nothing gives a specific listing for 1992 head bolts

The head bolts for any year 4.0L H.O. will work perfectly. You do not have to use a year specific head bolt.

Advance auto parts stocks them, get them there everytime, unless they come with the head like the last time...
