Default NEED HELP FAST!

ok I am in the middle of replacing my axle shaft Ujoints and im trying to get the wheel hub off and i cant get it off. i read on a website that i can keep the wheel hub on the shaft while replacing the ujoints meaning i dont have to take the 36 mm axle nut off (since i dont have a socket that big). Im thinking that the website is wrong and i do need to take the nut off. please let me know if the website is completely wrong and that i do need to take the nut off. and IF the website is right how do i get the hub off? lol sorry if im sounding needy but i dont want to work on this in the dark (in the middle of my driveway)

You DO NOT need to remove the 36mm nut. Just the 3 bolt on the back of the hub. The hub will be frozen into the knuckle. Some do a improvised press method of removal, placing a socket on the loosened bolt and turning the teering wheel to squeeze the socket and bolt in the knuckle. When I did it I sprayed it heavily with PB Blaster and Hammered on the loosened bolt heads till the hub broke loose. I did slide a small socket over the head to protect them. I spent about 2 hours per side beating on it.

Even if you remove the 36mm nut you will still need to pull the hub, the 3 bolts, to get at the U-joint.

ok you dont have to remove the axle nut but it makes replacing the u-joints easier.
there are 3 13mm 12 point bolts on the back of the knuckle that hold the hub. remove those, remove hub, shaft comes with it.

check your hubs and see if they are good while you have them off. you might as well change them now if it feels like there is a little friction in them. it would suck for you not to check them and not long down the road they go bad. just a little preventative maintance
