my buddy had a built TT AWD talon... to much power and not enough hookup though... would sit and spin all 4 instead of launching... but was pretty bad... they all are pretty dang quick but to me they seem to break down just as fast too... my buddies broke down acouple different times and then he ended up crashing it racing a Z06... idiot... lol

yah they break alot, this car did 11.23 at 127 on the old set up, that was at 455 at the wheels, this NEW set up make 602 at the wheels, so i am hoping for roughly....10.70's on pump gas and 10.50's on C-16.....But all in all they are a POS hahahaha
i have about $26,000 into this damn car, wish i had put it in the jeep instead, it would have a LS-1 in it and 6" of lift on 37's by now hahaha

1.7 on Street tires at 11.23 at 127, that was the best the car ever did, so far...tried Drag radials and slippin the clutch, did a 1.6....not much better. You kinda have to Just launch and spin at the same time in order to hook and not break parts...there really a pain in the **** to launch at a track (traction compound), but those who can do it, I give mad respect to. Out of 5 runs i will have maybbe 1 good one.

its pretty easy in a Turbo... cummins... lol... ive got a built tranny in mine but its not built enough to do 4 wheel launches... without a full billet tranny youll just brake junk doing that... i wish but it was hard enough forking out $3200 for a tranny... cant see spending $6000 on a billet setup... would be awesome but im happy barking 2nd on 37in MT's

in 5th from a role, I clutch kick the talon and it gets sideways at about 80, not to mention if i launch it hard enough and it hooks it pulls the front wheels off the ground about 1 to 2 inches hahaha

lol... reminds me of them little go karts that have to add steel bricks to weigh it down... when i have the doors off my XJ and because everything else hatch and all is gone at about 35 40mph i can rev up and drop clutch and break it sideways... lol... suprizes the mess out of people... lol... and im on 31 AT's lol... have to wear seat belts though cause you feel like your gonna fall out... thats what really scares people... lol... i make sure there seat belts on first though... but still scares them... lol
The pump will work, its the same size as the OEM I already checked, I never said i was gonna add another pump either, I am taking the old one out and putting a higher flowing one in, thats not rednecking anything Im sorry, people sell Walbro 255 fuel pumps for 4.0 jeeps all the time to help them get a little extra fuel, I am doing the same thing just on a smaller pump, engine. The stock pump and Talon pump will both do the same thing, pump fuel to the TB, just the Talon one will do it a little better.....I have put bigger pumps on stock fuel systems in lots of cars and never had a problem, maybbe run a little richer, which is better than leaner....
Cheers

sure, it will work (as your post before this one shows), but for how long? chances are your old regulator is not up to the job of restricting the flow properly, and it should be replaced.
I didn't say you said it was an in-line pump. was just noting that if it was, your theory didn't work. not being an expert on small cars such as your talon (thank god... and no offense), I had no idea whether it was an in-tank or in-line pump.
anyways, that's my two cents on your pump. you have no idea exactly how good the pump is...just because it outputs enough to make the 2.5 run doesn't mean it's not too high, or that it's even good. it could fail at any point (though I must admit, a brand new pump has this same chance).

^^^Very True!^^^ But I look at it like this, Im poor, i had it laying around and it works and will get me around, I can not find a used 2.5 in any junkyard within 250 miles of me to get a TB from....So this will have to hold up for now, if it breaks i will take care of it then, for now I am getting to work and back again and thats all that matters...
We went muddin years ago in my buddys ranger on 35's...well before we went, he wanted to pull his doors off, he said since the jeeps can do it he should be able to, well we did, went truckin all night and got dirty as hell, on the way home we got stopped by a cop(doors were off) and he had to get the truck towed home they wouldn't allow him to drive it hahaha

you have no idea how rare, went to our local pull n save when I first bought it, they had 17 XJ's NONE WERE 4 CYLINDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never even seen another one! But Autozone and Advanced stock all the parts for it, I think B/C the wrangler uses the same 2.5 and they are more common

Here's a thread you should check out: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/2-5l-4-0l-swap-13587/
He might sell you the TB off his 2.5 since he's replacing it with a 4.0!
