Default NEED help!

I have just converted my disco(D30)axle to non-disco and now I need to know the torque specs for tightening the differential bearing caps. I have gotten mixed results from 40 ft lbs to 95 ft lbs! thats a hell of a difference! Please help THANKS!

Thanks, but that doesnt list the diff bearing cap bolts.

you mean the carrier bolts inside the diff ?

Yes, the two caps that hold the carrier in the front housing.(has the ring gear on it)

Pinion nut size & thread pitch .750-16
Pinion nut torque (Crush sleeve) 160-500 ft. lbs
Pinion nut torque (solid shims) 160-200 ft. lbs
Pinion bearing preload 15-30 in. lbs.
Ring gear bolt size & thread pitch .375-24
Ring gear bolt torque 70-90 ft. lbs
Carrier bearing cap bolt size & thread pitch .437-14
Carrier bearing cap bolt torque 35-50 ft. lbs
Diff cover bolt size & thread pitch .312-18
Diff cover bolt torque 28-33 ft. lbs
Carrier case ratios 3.55- / 3.73+
