Default jeep no start

i have a 1991 jeep cherokee limited, and it has been not starting lately, like sometimes it will start right up and other times it will just crank, so i replaced my crankshaft positioning sensor. this worked flawlessly for about 5 days, then completely stopped working. i put another brand new sensor in, and it still doesnt work, is there something else i should try? thanks

This is a Basic Question and I am sure you would know but you have not said anything so I just wanted to check, "Is your battery good/dead?"

im gunna say since it is cranking that its not a battery issue. b4 u throw parts at it u gotta do a little diagnosis. do u have spark? do u have fuel pressure? u gotta give us something to work with here. unlesss u want a list of parts to put in

starter issues? you could try arc starting the celenoid and then try arc starting the starter to see if it is one of those

Check the starter relay in the fuse box under the hood. Had the same problem with my 91'. If I held the key in the start position for 5 to10 seconds she would finally turn over. Tested and replaced relay. No more problem.

He said a couple times that it turns over just fine, so it's not the starter.

How did you determine that you have no spark? Did you pull a plug? Pull distributor cap?

i have no spark coming out of my coil.
i had it diagnosed by a shop, and it only threw one error code...(54 no sync to cam sensor) but i already replaced the cks twice, and it is still doing it, any help would be great.

Thought about replacing the coil? I'm not sure if you can have those tested or not, maybe someone else can help there.

There are 2 sensors. One is the crank position sensor in the bell housing. The other is the cam position sensor in the distributor.

Code 54 is no camshaft position sensor signal form the distributor. Problem with distributor synchronization circuit

Both sensors will cause the PCM to shutdown the ASD and Fuel pump relays after a couple of seconds. Then you will not have coil, injectors, alternator nor fuel pump.
