Default Need friction modifier with this gear oil?

Hey guys,

I got some "Masterpro synthetic gear lube 75w90" for first servicing of my front and rear diffs.

I have the LSD Dana 35 in the rear and Oreilly told me this synthetic did not require a friction modifier but I do not believe them yet.

Here is a picture of the back of the bottle where is says " Can be used to make-up or refill of Limited slip/positive traction rear axles".

Should I just run the synthetic with no modifier and see how it goes and then add some modifier as necessary or just go grab some and put 3.5oz in?

I am uncertain about the condition of the clutches back there (first time opening her up).

So you've got a aftermarket LSD in your 35? Either way, it says it's for diffs and locked diffs, so I guess your good to go either way..

Sythetic oil, you're usually good to go.

No, its the factory LSD.

I had the synthetic because I was going to use it in my AX-15 until I learned about GL-5's sulfur content and brass synchros.

I'd start with oil and no additive, if and only if it "chatters" in a tight turn, then add the additive.
