Default NEED A/C CLUTCH

I need an ac clutch before it locks up on me. It is making the belt squeal, and run untrue to the pully's. I found an aftermarket rebuild kit for $65, or an aftermarket compressor, clutch, seal, and drier kit shipped for $239 any advice on what, or where to get. I kinda need the cheapest route due to vacation next week, thanks, scott

Before you go out and spend money make sure its not overcharged, overcharging the AC will cause the comp to lock up also...Just a thought...Tj

its definitly the clutch, it has an all red tint so it has been hot, and it looks like one of the ears have seperated from the assy. and when you turn on the ac, it makes the belt squeal, and the belt starts to run off true to the alt. pully.

Is your comp running ok now? if it is I would replace the clutch. If your comps is also acting up I would replace it. If your comps is going bad you would be wise to have it evacuated and reciever/drier changed or you will be doing this again soon due to metal shavings from old compressor

ac only blows cold sometimes. i think i will just have to suck it up and buy the whole kit. i just hate to this close to vacation. thanks for the help
i can see the clutch kick on and off, but not sure what else could be wrong causing it not to blow cold all the time, maybe low on freon, or overcharged. i will have it evacuated, and refilled with the new kit.
