I am selling a Dana 35c axle from an 87 Cherokee. I am having a hard time determining what the gear ratio on the axle is. Here is the number as it appears on the tag. Also, how much should I be asking for this with stock leafs.

Is that a common ratio. On all the lists i have found i never saw a 3 08, only a 3 07.

3.08 is correct, kind of like the difference between 4.10 and 4.11.

FYI part number 8953004770 is a MJ part number not a XJ PN.

If you want to verify the gear ratio you can pull the cover and check what is printed on the ring gear and divide it out:




As for value something like $50-100. Not much value there unless someone wants that drop in replacement.
