need an answer on a 94 jeep cherokee problem
I just recently bought a 94 jeep Cherokee and it has a 6in lift with 32in tires. i took it to a mechanic because it was shacking pretty bad at speeds of around 33mph and up. he told me that it is likely mostly coming from a bolt the it where the rear drive line hooked in on the front side so i tried tightening it and it didn't do anything. dose anyone know of anything that i could try to fix this problem or has anyone had it before? thanks for all your help!

do you know if the jeep has a S.Y.E? if your not sure what a S.Y.E is have a read at this: http://www.jeepfan.com/tech/whysye.htm
it's just a bit of info about it. Seeing as you have a 6" lift, you should either have A S.Y.E or a CV Driveshaft. The reason for that is, when a vehicle is lifted the axles are lower, and the U-Joints are at more of an angle to one another, and if it is enough of an angle, it can cause rumbling, vibration, shaking, weird noises, etc.
in your case if you don't have a S.Y.E or a CV Driveshaft it could very well cause shaking or bad vibration at speed.
I hope i explained things well enough. If not feel free to ask more questions, and I'll try my best to help, and perhaps others may chime in too.
All the best. EP
