i believe it is the ebrake cable... but is it suppose to be tight? its not like incredibly tight where it wont even budge, buts it is relatively tight.

do they sell extended ones?

Name that part? Ok, that's Steve.

It's the E-Brake cable and it goes into the lower portion of the backing plate, and there is usually a small spring that holds it up out of the way of everything.

ok i was almost certain thats what it is, is it suppose to be loose, or somewhat tight?(with e-brake off)

i dont think you need to. unless you do and i've just never heard that. the only lines i know you need to extend are brake lines, not too sure about your ebrake cable.

They are a little tight with the lift so you need to exchange them for the YJ non-drivers side cable from a early 90s Jeep YJ. The YJ had a foot operated e-brake and that made the cable a little longer. You will need some 8mm allthread rod and a coupler to complete the conversion. Pretty straight forward once you tear into it.

Doesn't look like Steve is stretched overly tight in that pic you posted.
