Default Nail in tire, replaced. Stuck in 4wd

I got a nail in my front left tire a few weeks ago and it was of course not repairable. So I got a brand new tire. Old tire had 10,000 miles on it as do the other 3 still on the car.

Fast forward a week and I go to throw my car in 4wd and it starts pulling to the left (the new tire is on the front left) and won’t come out of 4wd. I had to pull into a gravel pit and do figure 8's and it finally disengaged.

Is this problem from the tires being slightly uneven or is it a problem with my 4wd.

Is the tire size different from the others?

Place the new tire on the drive side of the rear axle and run the evenly worn tires up front. I used a new spare once on the front with some very worn tires and mine did the same thing. I placed the new spare on the rear and the 4wd engaged normally after that.

Maybe try running a little less air in it from the other 3 tires

I'll give it a shot. Thanks!
