Automatic transmission keeps leaking. Fluid drips from the transmission support bracket, the area where the transfer case and the transmission meet.
Here is what I tried replacing so far,
Pan Gasket, twice
RTV seal between transmission and the transmission extension housing.
Transmission output shaft seal.
Transfer case input shaft seal.
It still leaks in the exact same spot. Where else could it leak to cause fluid to drip from the transmission support bracket?
Here’s a picture of what I’m talking about.
When I pulled the seals on the output of the transmission and transfer case, they were completely fine.
Jeep hasn’t been driven in weeks so it’s not boiling over or anything. Just leaking somewhere I don’t know about.
Leaks on the AW4 usually come from the cooler lines. Either the quick connect fittings just above pan on passenger side(known to have issues) or where metal lines transfer to rubber hose.
While inspecting check front passenger corner of oil pan where it mates to engine. Transmission lines are routed there along oil pan edge, upper control arm can contact them and pinch/kink lines.
