My daily 2000 XJ seems to have a short I cannot for the life of me find.
2000 XJ keep blowing #11 fuse by passenger side kick panel. It blows after about 20-30sec of driving. Putting out a code of P1694 Fuse doesn't blow right away. Have to drive it for a little bit. Maybe 30 sec. Will not do it while parked. Swapped TCM with another. Blew the fuse but not right away. Blew under harder acceleration. Things I've done/tried:-Swapped TCM-Swapped ASM relay-Swapped fuel pump relay-Disassemble much of the wiring harness and open fuse block in engine bay-checked continuity of the blue/white wire for that circuit in the engine bay -from the fuse block in passenger side quarter panel to circuit junction -from junction to PCM connector on driver side -from junction to ASM relay connect in fuse block on fender-looked high and low for wires that are damaged or pitched. Check reverse lights and sockets, all dry and in great shape.
One thing else I did do was unplug the TCM and drive it like that. It did not blow the fuse that way

I swapped out the PCM and it hasn't popped the fuse yet. Can the PCM really cause the issue to blow fuse #11 like that? Is there any way to test this better without getting too far away and having to get a tow again?

Hmmm... Well fuse #11 does feed the PCM directly (C1 Pin 2) and through the ASD shutdown relay (coil side C3 Pin 3).
Is it shifting OK?
Do you have the FSM? If not, you can get it at cruiser54's site.

I have only drove it up my cul-de-sac and backed back down. Done that about ten times so far. Before it would pop by the second or third attempt and I could roll back down the street and back into my driveway to work on it more
seems to be shifting ok. I haven't got to highway speeds but I think I hit third a couple times.
