I noticed yesterday while pulling a neighbor out of the snow that I have a brownish/red fluid dripping all over from under the front bumper/grill area. I figured I blew a high press power steering line or something but I can't tell where it's coming from and all fluids look full. It's leaked quite a bit but nothing loos low. It looks like tranny fluid or ps fluid but not sure. Anyone have a similar problem?
Thanks

if the rig is an auto u could have popped a leak in the trans line (connecting to the radiator) or the radiator where the trans fluid is running through.. otherwise p/s would be the next guess.

x2 thats what it sounds like had that problem with mine a while back, the lower trans line was worn through right next to the crimped lined on the hose.

What would be the easiest way to tell where it's leaking? As I'd like to minimize my time out in the frozen south dakota winter tundra.

if you look down at the radiator from the front of your jeep there should be 2 lines coming out of the driverside of the radiator, check the hoses that are connected to those lines from underneath. see if they are wet.
Roll it in flour and look for the wet spot!
J/k! The power steering lines are on the drivers side (obviously) and the trans lines predominately run up the passenger side. You can take out the 2 screws that hold the aux fan in and pull it for a good clear view of the PS lines. If all dry, it is most likely the AT lines.

they didnt know what i was talkin about or needed at autozone, and didnt have the replacement line assembly anyway so im just going to use a fuel line sleeve and some hose clamps i guess.
i would go to hydraulic shop and get some viton hose, fuel line may not stand up to the heat. the fluid coming out of the trans is pretty warm. just my $.02
