Default My XJ Project

To start, I own a 2000 XJ classic with a 3" Rubicon express lift, and 31's. I have a few projects in mind that i would love feedback about and some additional resources for reference.

First, I want to purchase a cat back exhaust system. On quadratec.com i found a dynomax catback for only $190. With my college bound budget, it fits perfect but I'm looking for a sound that a jeep SHOULD have. Any good suggestions?

Second. I'm always trying to find new ways to keep the boiling hot stock engine compartment cooler. So i looked at some hood louvers on hoodlouvers.com. Kinda expensive but they look sick. Also thought about putting spacers on my hood mounds. I thought about cutting the piece of metal behind the driver side headlight and trying to make a air catcher in the space between the radiator/air conditioner and the side of the headlight section. Any on how too's or anyone done anything or am i just thinking to far into it? ha

Third. Anyone selling any fender flares or a safari rack?

Thanks everyone for reading about my novice to mods.

On the Dynomax cat back check out summitracing.com you can get the same kit which is the muffler and allumized pipe for about $130 plus about an $11 handling fee which is cheaper then quadratec...I am going to get the same kit and a Magnaflow hiflo catalytic converter..
