Any symptoms to go along with that?

The devil is in the details here and the more information we have, the better.

But generally, if a part tests out of spec, replace it.

It's not running as smooth as it was.
And sometimes shifts down on a level road as if I'm going up hill.

the shifting could be a simple fix such as the kick down cable. the TPS is testing in specs. I would check other things. IAC, tune up, ect for the running "rough"

An automatic shifting on a level road at constant throttle could be the TPS (if the signal is fluxuating) or the transmission. The rough running could be TPS (if the signal is fluxuating) the O2 sensor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, ...

If you can monitor the TPS signal with it running (Some scan tools allow this, or you can wire a meter to it), you can see if the signal is jumping with the throttle held constant.

IAC is ok and tune up is done, I will check the kick down cable though.

Not at all, it just does it as if I shifted the stick.

same issue here. 99 xj. replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, IAC, TPS... checked gas lines and pump assembly. it went away but has been happening more again. two questions: does my 99 have the kick down cable, and is it true that i can just clip the wires to the downstream o2 sensor and it wont matter?
ok, one more, is the an adjustment on the TPS or IAC. i know of the process to reset the ECU, is that a possibility? thanks.

No mechanical adjustment on TPS or IAC. If the TPS is bad, you should get a check engine light. I just had a check engine light for the TPS out of range and replaced the TPS and that wasn't it, turned out to be the coolant temperature sensor, it had a hairline crack in it. Symtoms were 1500-2000 idle. Just saying that it could be a number of things causing the rough running, start with the easiest to check and work from there

A friend suggested the Air Temp Sensor is bad since it takes it longer to start in cold weather lately.
