Default is it my rotors?

well i drove the xj about 250 miles yesterday, and just about everytime i would break coming down from about 70mph the front end would shake(it doesnt shake while breaking at low speeds). now recently i added a 2'' lift to it, which i got an alignment the next day. i put new brake pads on a couple weeks ago. i figured i'd just need new rotors but not sure, so if someone would let me know what else i should check would be much appreciated

they could be warped that would cause what you described
or tires would do the same if they are worn un even

You could take them off (rotors) and I believe places like AutoZone or other places will turn them for you. Might try that, pretty easy to remove, and should not cost a whole heck of alot of $$.

i'd say rotors.. my mom's chrysler sebring used to do the exact same thing and apparently hers were warped pretty good. Not saying you drive like this, but she likes to rush up on stop signs and red lights then slam on the brakes at the last second and if u do that for long enough, it's bound to happen.

clean any rust off the hubs to make a true fit, and torque the wheels to the correct specs. Even new rotors will have some runout. I turn them regardless

then it could be tires worn uneven
and bad shocks

I would start with re surfacing the rotors
and go from there
