Haha thanks 2k, what would be the easiest point to connect my acc to? I don't have a voltmeter to check power when my ignition is on and my cigarette lighter wouldn't be a good spot because those are also being affected by the acc loss :-(

 

You got a test light? Find a wire with your test light that only lights up when the key is on, not constant power, then splice into that. There should be plenty under the steering wheel
