My New Jeep and Some Questions
What's up guys?
Some of my friends have Jeeps, so I caved in and bought a 1998 XJ with 182,000. I took it on Main Divide Trail (40 miles through Saddle Back Mountains) and it was awesome.
After driving it a few days, I have some questions for you guys.
1) When I turn the key in the morning, it doesn't start 1st turn. It always starts with the second turn and cranks right over. This has happened every morning, sometimes in the afternoon after it has been sitting at work.
I was thinking it is the CPS, possibly the fuel pump relay, or maybe the fuel pump itself.
What do you guys think?
2) What would you suggest between a 2.5" Flowmaster 40 or Magnaflow Muffler?
3) I want to built it for trails and desert racing. Can I start with a 4.5" RE kit or should I just skip to a 6" kit?
I was also considering piecing together a Currie Sportsman Kit since they are located right next to me. They have 4" Coils, Upper/Lower Control arms and a track bar for around $800. I know I will need to get some rear springs as well.
I just sold a Mustang Drag car and I am itching to get into ofroad racing!! Thanks in advance for your help!
Any input would be great.

the starting thing is from the fuel pump mine did the exact thing. and as far as the lift goes i am not a fan of going high with the lift unless you are going to get the long arm upgrade but the 4.5 will give you a good heith and you can get 33's to fit with trimming
