So I say I should get a new lift kit cause I hear blocks are horrible and this whole setup just looks old and not going to do to good (looks cheap) off road. It is bouncy as hell. You can not see this but have no rear shocks. Momma say don't replace what you do not need to. What do you all think.

Do you live in your moms house? And do you live there for free?

What I am getting at is listen to your mom...for now. Save your money, keep saving your money. Then once you have some good amount of money, get a good lift kit and tires. Always make sure you have some money left over though, it will look a lot better.

Be like "Hey mom, so I have been doing a lot of research lately about lifting the jeep, and looking at the best parts for the money and found this....." "if I buy the lift and tires I will still have plenty money left over." Now if she does say no again, or says something about how its a lot of money then go plan B, but plan b will only work if you pick expensive stuff for plan a. hahahha

See plan B is, "okay mom, so I was looking online and find this lift and tires.....for 400 cheaper" Then hopefully she will say yes.

There are many people that make blocks out to be way worse then they are, I would get some shocks then wait on the lift unless you have an abundance of cash right now.. just think what else you could do your your jeep instead, perhaps a locker?

Is your mom paying for the lift kit? that might be why she has problems with your decision,

i would think something less complictated then a locker.. indeed they are useful but im sure there are probably more important things to go about spending money on.

edit: im not bashing your idea what so ever.. no disrespect.. just stateing my opinion

If a new lift would be best I was going to buy it after my tires which I should have tires in about a week should run me about $500 for tires I get straight from warehouse so I get what tire dealerships pay for tires that why they cheap plus rims for $200. So after that huge spend after about a month of saving I was gonna save up again and buy a nice lift.

I pay for everything besides insurance.

Alright thanks for the input. I figured the "My mom freaking out..." Would catch peoples attention. I found where bolt the shock on the bottom but I do not see it for top is it hidden or could it just not be there.(I bought it without shocks in the rear)

crappy shocks are better than no shocks. make sure you get shocks that are ment to be on a lift your size. I had to drive down the street with one rear shock removed and it was a big diffence from having all in place.

I was going to have pepboys order them. I was gonna call them ask what the length of the shocks are fully extended stock and then add 5 inches which is the size of my lift then order them would this be the right size?
