I disagree posting his problems adds to the discussion n if it's similar maybe helps n some ppl complain about the opposite about opening threads that r already open n not searching before opening new thread

So I had my right rear axle replaced on my 99 wj. So they r pressed on the axle with the wheel bearing. My mechanic said he replaced bearing n seal on right axle n said he replaced the seal on the left as well without replacing the bearing cuz he had the special tools to replace the seal without removing the wheel bearing. Us that possible when they r pressed on???

 

I'd pull the tire and rotor to inspect the retainer plate and nuts. It will be easy to tell if they were recently removed.

FWIW, I've never heard of any tool that can stretch a seal. I'm not buying it......
