I'm new to the Cherokee and I'm lovin it. I've been getting all my info from other threads but haven't seen anything about why my full time light comes on and off while driving? I have a 90 xj. Any help on what to look for would be great thanks.

 

Check underneath, the wiring for mine rubbed on the driveshaft and was grounding itself causing random off/on of the light.

Could also be vacuum related they made both designs.

 

What do I look for to determine if its one or the other? If it is a vacuum what do i check for

 

Might just jeed to adjust (or replace) the switch. May be a short in the wiring.

 

Does the vacuum do anything on the np242? I always thought because the disconnect axle only came with the np231 that the vacuum didn't do anything for it. I know there are no vacuum lines going to my np242. I would be interested to find out more.
