Well I found this:

Maybe I don’t have a drain tube? Maybe it just comes out of that hole that Dusty showed and that’s it.

But why is it overflowing into the passenger compartment then?

I wouldn’t say it’s overflowing, just on lower blower speeds, the outside of the box condensates and drips water. Maybe my low side pressure is really low on low blower speeds, causing the box to become almost too cold and condensate.

Or maybe the evaporator is really dirty and it’s not draining like it should. At this point, i’ll look at what the pressures do at the lower speeds, and see what I can figure out from that

I'm thinking you shouldn't see insulation behind that hole.

Well, today, I found loads of water in my passenger side floor board. I mean puddles of water that haven’t ever been there before.

I don’t know if that’s evaporator water or outside water, but I mean everything under the carpet is soaked.

Im gonna look into it deeper, but as of right now I have never had this much water in my floorboards. I mean it was dry a month ago, and now, I was scooping water out of a hole in my floorboard. :/

Well, this is weird.

I found my actual drain.

Problem is, it’s not draining and I feel air coming out of it. However, it’s still draining water but from somewhere else.

What the hell is going on here?

It’s draining from the frame to the front (since i’m parked on a down hill)

This is my drain. I watched it for about 3 minutes and only 2 drops came out, and a bunch of cold air was coming out of it. but water was still coming out of the frame rail despite none coming out of the drain tube

I'm thinking mouse nest. I went through that many years ago with a 96XJ I bought new about 6 months after I bought it.

Nope. Turns out that plug I pulled out is just a plug, nothing more, nothing less. Looks like some sort of plug that you can remove to run wires though the firewall. I could feel the insulation under the dash through that hole as well

Well, surprise surprise, but the little runner grommet that comes out of the evaporator box to the firewall, is leaking loads of condensation into my floorboard. And as a bonus, my heater core is leaking coolant as well. Looks like I’m gonna pull the dash and fix all of this mess, along with another mess of wires that the PO left.

Fun times!

By the way, does anyone know the part number of that rubber grommet?

Found the part number: 4720 037. That is what is leaking

Well, the extent seems to just be 12 gauge solid copper wire used for all 4 speakers. It’s also a 28 year old piece of plastic, so i’m sure i’ll have fun with breaking something important.
