Default My electrical issues have been SOLVED!

Issues:
1. No dash, or any panel lamps
2. No dome, cigarette lighter or radio

Turns out the terminals in the fuse box were corroded and broken creating an electrical nightmare. I unbolted the fuse box and stretched it out as much as I could to get to the wiring. I cut all the wires going to the bad terminals and spliced in some inline square style fuses and after I hooked everything back up I had everything working, including the dash lights which hadn't worked since I bought it.

The frustrating part is if this is the same problem you have you will go insane checking fuses and they all look good, unknowing that they actually aren't connected to anything.

Had a similar issue but instead I put in a painless fuse block.

I would of liked to have done that but they are just a little too pricey right now for me.

Test light or a multi meter can be your best friend. Good find and a good fix none the less.

Good job, Metal Head. I saw your initial post and suspected it might be a corrosion issue. Glad to hear you were able to bypass the bad connections and get everything up and running again.

I would definitely invest in a multimeter (even the cheapy Home Depot model is fine), it's one of the primary diagnostic tools for most any Jeep and would have been the first thing to reach for when experiencing the issues you described.

Well...everything seemed fine but I drove it today and had no blinkers. Turns out a few of the wires I cut were giving power to other fuses. Everything is back working again but some of my stuff has to run off direct battery power because there is no longer power to many of the ignition terminals on the fuse block. Like my blinkers now work with the key off. Need to do a whole new fuse block but gonna wait until I start having issues again. So far everything is still good.
