... and got a few more codes i hadnt gotten before.. First was, P1491 - manufacture auxilary emission control, second one was P1591 - control ignition system or mis-fire , third was, P0131 - o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1, fourth was, P0136 - o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 and last but not least was, P0705 - Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction (PRNDL input) ... I'm thinking coil packs?? Any input will be greatly appreciated
So why did you change the Crackshaft Position Sensor (CPS) when the code said cam Position Sensor?! Just saying....

I've already cut the muffler off and punched out the catalytic converter.. I'm running it right off the cat now, and must say, for a 6 silly, it sounds pretty mean. (lol) . And ya, i have also wondered if its a bad ground/wire/connection.. I've looked some stuff over and everything seems to look "ok"... The battery terminals are clean, voltage is between 14-16 volts all the time. The dealership my dad works at claims they have been fixing alot of "chafed" wires, and specifically on jeeps. He suggested i look at "every single" wire, carefully inspecting the entire length of it. I started but, DAMN, there is alot of them. Im used to chevys, one wire to dizzy, one to alternator and she runs hahaha.. If i cant figure this out, without spending more money, then ill put a sbc in it. Maybe not, im just getting discouraged.

I know this may sound redundant or silly since shotgunning parts seems to be the path being taken, but you should check the grounds in your engine bay for corrosion and security, especially G101 (see photos in link), obviously you don't have an ignition coil shown in the photo but the G101 ground points are there on a 2K Xj.

Measure twice, cut once.
What is your fuel pressure at?
o2 sensor 1 is giving a code? ding ding ding... if thats not a problem, idk what is. is it causing your problem? maybe. But it still will cause problems down the line.
What happens when you turn it off and try restarting when it is having an episode?
